The GLOBALG.AP Chain of Custody (CoC) standard ensures that any product bearing a GGN label logo or sold with a GLOBALG.AP claim actually comes from GLOBALG.AP certified production processes.
The CoC standard provides this level of security by specifying strict requirements for the correct segregation, handling and tracking of products in the supply chain. In this way, products from GLOBALG.AP certified production processes are prevented from being substituted or diluted with those from non-certified farms, either by mistake or for the purpose of obtaining economic benefit.
Therefore, the CoC standard is a fundamental tool to protect the integrity of the product from farm to retailer, reducing the risk of food fraud and allowing a rapid response when problems arise.
